This digital-only release is comprised mostly of instrumental versions of music originally released on "Island Sublime, Songs from Across a Seven-Mile Sea" by Alex de Steiguer.

These instrumentals are very spare and haunting and were heard originally during a virtual event held November 21, 2020 as a fundraiser for Star Island where the artist has been a winter caretaker for (by that time) 24 years. The music was the soundtrack for a short film called "Very Private Thoughts - A Winter Journal" which was a composite picture - in images and words culled from dozens of personal journals - of time passing from arrival in fall to departure in spring as it is experienced by one lone woman on a windswept island far out to sea.

The final track is from the as-yet unreleased song "Oceanic".
