Please enjoy the unedited vocalizations heard of a morning (March 28, 2020) on Star Island in the Isles of Shoals recorded at a time when - while humanity recedes for a bit - spring is bringing life, loud and happy - to the places we are not. This brings me joy that I want to share; a base-note of waves pulsing, trills of swallows recently arrived, sparrows finding voice after a winter of trial, blackbirds courting, gulls of course - contemplating the coming mad multiplication of a breeding season soon upon us, and one goose... flying low over my head as I record, wondering what - of what I am doing - could be edible.
